Welcome! Rhythm of Life Nutrition and Yoga is a health and wellness organization in the Chicagoland area combining a wealth of knowledge and experience in nutrition, health and wellness. As founder of Rhythm of Life Nutrition and Yoga, I help midlife women manage menopause weight gain and related health issues through nutrition, yoga and active living.
As women, we experience new challenges with health as we age and need to adjust our lifestyle to accommodate this new "rhythm of live". Obesity, diabetes, heart disease and menopause often add to the complexity as we age. I offer nutrition and yoga courses and nutrition and yoga workshops focused on these issues. I am Dr. Lori Porter a registered dietitian/nutritionist and registered yoga teacher. I believe in living a life full of joy and gratitude. These feelings inform and guide my yoga practice and teaching.
I use nutrition, yoga and active living to help women make lifestyle changes to be the best version of themselves.
As far as nutrition goes, I take an approach that is plant-based but includes quality, lean sources of protein in limited and appropriate amounts.
